Bartolome Manso de Contreras Hernandez de Medina – 1739

Don Bartolome Manso de Contreras Hernandez de Medina married Doña Josefa de Loyola y Monteagudo. They had four sons: Luis Rosendo (died at an early age as a boy), Sor Maria Isabel, Sor Maria de los Dolores, Sor Maria Manuela de San Agustin.

Don Bartolome was captain of the Royal Army and when his wife died, he decided to become a priest in the Church of Remedios until he died.

His 3 daughters were also became nuns in the Convent of Santa Clara, and renounce the family’s fortune and they are the ones that execute the wills on behalf of descendents of Andres and Joseph Manso de Contreras, her uncles.
